Abstract
The fundamental measure of progress in computer science implies making it an inseparable part of our daily experience and making it disappear at the same time. In 40 years this change has transformed the first great "IT machines" into compact devices that support and organize our daily activities. As a consequence of all this, it has become necessary to switch to more adequate mechanisms, without making existing ones even more complex. The movement of Ubiquitous computing will complement the progress of both Mobile computing and Pervasive computing, whose paradoxical result is the fact that it is at the same time very personal and extremely global.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
