In the era of telematic communication, cultural property becomes a digital object and resource for economic and social growth. This thesis work aims to pursue the search for more effective and more widespread communication methods than in the past. Virtual reality is one of the various innovative tools and technologies aimed at enhancing the architectural heritage, which is an interesting means of communicating cultural heritage within the real space, resulting in a strong social impact. My thesis, therefore, aims to demonstrate, through the application to the case study of the Swabian Castle of Gravina in Puglia, that a correct use of these tools and through the exploitation of the potential offered by new communication technologies, it is possible to preserve and enhance mainly the architectural heritage, making the visitor's enjoyment immersive and particularly suggestive.

Abstract
In the era of telematic communication, cultural property becomes a digital object and resource for economic and social growth. This thesis work aims to pursue the search for more effective and more widespread communication methods than in the past. Virtual reality is one of the various innovative tools and technologies aimed at enhancing the architectural heritage, which is an interesting means of communicating cultural heritage within the real space, resulting in a strong social impact. My thesis, therefore, aims to demonstrate, through the application to the case study of the Swabian Castle of Gravina in Puglia, that a correct use of these tools and through the exploitation of the potential offered by new communication technologies, it is possible to preserve and enhance mainly the architectural heritage, making the visitor's enjoyment immersive and particularly suggestive.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
