The paper consists in the discussion of the monitoring of oil activities in the Ecuador region. The study area includes a territory rich in biodiversity and an ecosystem that is particularly sensitive to the damage caused by local oil activities. A first analysis concerns a forecast of the spills on the basis of those recorded in the oil blocks, creating temporal and spatial models and estimating the total volumes spilled by the infrastructures. ArcGIS software was used in this activity. A second analysis concerns the monitoring of the pollution of the rivers of Ecuador, also evaluating the risk that our local natives run, and was performed with the free software QGIS. for the safeguard of the territory, in addition to its economic and sanitary progress against the looming problem of oil spills. The monitoring, mapping and control activities of this protected area are essential for assessing future risks even in a context of scarce documentation, as well as perfecting decision-making processes in territorial planning to improve health, economic and environmental conditions.

Abstract
The monitoring, mapping and control activities of this protected area are essential for assessing future risks even in a context of scarce documentation, as well as perfecting decision-making processes in territorial planning to improve health, economic and environmental conditions.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
