Sensory perception involves the simultaneous stimulation of the five senses and the resulting emotional effects. It is erroneously thought that people with any type of sensory deficit are excluded from living this experience, but numerous studies carried out in the field of human physiology have confirmed that such people have a greater sensitivity in the sensory organs not involved in the disorder. This thesis is part of the field of design of aids for hearing impairments, which aim at the well-being of the user through the creation of specific services and technologies for enhancing the tactile experience. The project is configured as a wearable device which, thanks to special transmitters, allows the transmission of sound vibrations directly to the user's body. The latter receives - through the tactile perceptual channel - the sound frequencies considered beneficial, which usually animate the exhibition environments of video art, or rather an art form based on the creation and reproduction of moving images using video equipment. The design research has analyzed the contemporary scenario and investigated the technological developments adopted in hearing aids, paying particular attention to the interaction they have with the user. The device has a playful-recreational character and aims to enhance the sensory experience to ensure, in this way, equal and shared emotional communication.
