This final thesis falls within the scientific-disciplinary sector ICAR/09 (Structural Engineering) and focuses on the experimental analysis of mortar specimens containing wood waste. The objective is to investigate the mechanical behavior of these mortars and assess their structural potential in the construction field. The study is structured into two main phases. The first part presents a literature review on fiber-reinforced cementitious composites, with particular attention to wood fibers. It examines the properties of composite materials and the role of fibers in enhancing the mechanical performance and durability of the cementitious matrix. The second part of an experimental nature, details the procedure for manufacturing the specimens, which consist of a cementitious matrix supplemented with wood flour. Through mechanical strength tests, the effects of incorporating such waste on the mortar’s performance are analyzed, with a particular focus on durability and improvements in structural behavior. The results confirm that integrating wood waste into the cementitious matrix can provide significant benefits in terms of strength and sustainability, opening new perspectives for the use of innovative construction materials. The conclusions highlight the potential applications of this solution and possible future developments in the field of materials engineering.
