Abstract
The growing diffusion of the Internet of Things poses new challenges in terms of security and authentication of connected devices. The limited resources of such devices prevent an easy and practical use of traditional cryptographic techniques. In this context, Radio Frequency Fingerprinting (RFF) presents itself as an innovative and effective solution, exploiting microscopic imperfections at the hardware level of the devices, in order to uniquely identify them through their radio frequency emissions. This thesis proposes a study on the effectiveness of this technique, in particular using the Bit Error Rate (BER) as a means of performance evaluation.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
