In recent years, the increasing prevalence of Denial of Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks has posed a significant threat to the security of digital infrastructure. This thesis aims to analyze, through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), the main types of DoS and DDoS attacks, their characteristics and attack vectors, and the mitigation methods developed to date. Following the guidelines proposed by Kitchenham, the review process was structured into three main phases: planning, conducting and analyzing the results, ensuring a rigorous and replicable approach. The findings highlight the most promising techniques for countering attacks, while identifying gaps in the existing literature and suggesting future directions for research. This study aims to contribute to the understanding of the phenomenon and provide useful tools to address the challenges posed by cyber attacks in the context of modern digital infrastructure.

Abstract
This study aims to contribute to the understanding of the phenomenon and provide useful tools to address the challenges posed by cyber attacks in the context of modern digital infrastructure.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
