In my work I have addressed the phenomenon of land consumption with a focus on the consequent losses in terms of ecosystem services and specifically with regard to the ability to control runoff volumes. I have examined the modification of the hydrological cycle and the new paradigm of the function of green areas provided by urban standards. I have considered the new approach of soft engineering with respect to urban drainage and the engineering of green surfaces, seen as green infrastructure, making a description of sustainable urban drainage techniques, classifying them by type of approach/expressed function. I then applied the concept to an existing lot in my municipality of residence to evaluate the effective runoff regulation capacity expressed by the system; I determined the rainfall probability curves of the area, I analyzed the intervention site from the morphological, lithological and geological point of view; I also evaluated the conditions of the underground aquifers, all through the study of the sectoral plans in force. I performed a hydraulic analysis of the area of interest to determine the flood hydrogram, starting from the unit hydrogram obtained by means of the Mockus hydrogram; finally I sized an infiltration trench comparing 3 different scenarios, varying the return time of the meteoric event or inserting an additional initial accumulation in the system and I described the results obtained.

Abstract
I performed a hydraulic analysis of the area of interest to determine the flood hydrogram, starting from the unit hydrogram obtained by means of the Mockus hydrogram; finally I sized an infiltration trench comparing 3 different scenarios, varying the return time of the meteoric event or inserting an additional initial accumulation in the system and I described the results obtained.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
