This thesis work is based on the design of an after-treatment system that uses SCR. Starting from the limitations imposed by IMO and the analysis of Diesel emissions, it was possible to identify the SCR system that would guarantee the best results, in terms of efficiency, for marine applications. Hand in hand with this activity, we dedicated ourselves to the design of all the components useful for assembling the system in the test room: piping and support systems. On these elements, a static, buckling and F.E.M. analysis were performed, thanks to which we moved from design to production. At the end of this phase, the company will complete the activity with experimental analyzes on the SCR, with the aim of characterizing the abatement of emissions, changing some parameters of the system.

Abstract
This thesis work is based on the design of an after-treatment system that uses SCR. Starting from the limitations imposed by IMO and the analysis of Diesel emissions, it was possible to identify the SCR system that would guarantee the best results, in terms of efficiency, for marine applications. Hand in hand with this activity, we dedicated ourselves to the design of all the components useful for assembling the system in the test room: piping and support systems. On these elements, a static, buckling and F.E.M. analysis were performed, thanks to which we moved from design to production. At the end of this phase, the company will complete the activity with experimental analyzes on the SCR, with the aim of characterizing the abatement of emissions, changing some parameters of the system.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
