This thesis proposes the design and implementation of a test architecture that loops a vital Automatic Train Protection (ATP) module in the context of highly automated railway infrastructures. Specifically, the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) architecture created has the purpose of testing the functionality of an ATP module previously developed under the hardware / software aspect by the working group of the Integrated Electronic Systems Laboratory coordinated by Prof. .ssa De Venuto. In this context, the work carried out involved the creation of a simulated environment that took into account the dynamic responses of various on-board and ground subsystems, in an Automatic Train Operation (ATO) framework. For this purpose, an experimental test bench was recreated using two Raspberry Pi 3 single board computers recreating the on-board (ATO-OB) and ground (ATO-TS) equipment and the board to be tested and, finally, A graphical control interface on the ATO-TS side was created. Experimental tests conducted using the HIL architecture made it possible to verify the response of the system under test to the different scenarios of use envisaged by the relative regulatory subsets.

Abstract
Experimental tests conducted using the HIL architecture made it possible to verify the response of the system under test to the different scenarios of use envisaged by the relative regulatory subsets.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
