This work provides new evidence on the effectiveness of the use of the arts in organizations and investigates its impacts on the communities and territories in which the companies are based. An inductive qualitative research based on a Multiple Case Study was conducted. Specifically it was analyzed a sample of companies that use artistic initiatives in their business models. The results show that art-based management actions can lead employees to identify new perspectives in work activities, help them achieve goals and create models to better understand the phases of business processes. Furthermore, it was highlighted that the organizational development and the improvement of the company performance can be designed and implemented thanks to a correct managerial use of arts-based initiatives. Finally, it has been shown that managers, by integrating the arts into the management systems, have the possibility of designing relational models also between the company and the territory.
