The thesis deals with the topic of the implication of microglia in neurodegenerative diseases, in particular Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and Multiple Sclerosis. Furthermore, the role of alpha-tocopherol as an inflammatory and antioxidant agent is discussed. Finally, the influence of vitamin E on BV2 cell viability is analyzed.
La tesi tratta l'argomento dell'implicazione della microglia nelle malattie neurodegenerative, in particolare malattia di Alzherimer, malattia di Parkinson e Sclerosi Multipla. Inoltre, si discute del ruolo dell'alpha-tocoferolo come agente infiammatorio e antiossidante. Infine, si analizza l'influenza della vitamina E sulla vitalità cellulare BV2.
