Gemba Walk is the Lean management practice of going to the work site, observing the process and talking with people respectfully. It enables the development of a visible and trusted leadership aligning the organisation towards common goals and engaging the employees in a scientifically-driven and cooperative problem-solving process, while creating a learning culture for continuous improvement. This project aims at developing a framework, still lacking in the literature, indicating the best practices for both technical and ‘soft’ aspects of the Gemba Walk implementation. It integrates the methods and tools suggested in the literature with the industrial best practices, documented through semi-structured interviews to companies from different sectors. The framework will be useful for Gemba Walk practitioners to benchmark their current practices and improve them, and for not-yet practitioners to be guided throughout a structured and consistent implementation.

Abstract
The framework will be useful for Gemba Walk practitioners to benchmark their current practices and improve them, and for not-yet practitioners to be guided throughout a structured and consistent implementation.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
