The dissertation explores the concept of Digital Twin extended to networks and defines an architecture that creates and manages Network Digital Twins of physical domains to provide end-to-end services: it is selected the best fitting and secure combination of domains for the task; security is ensured through trustworthiness, associated to each domain and tuned after each service, an idea inherited by the Social IoT. Data acquisition, task offloading and domains' selection of an IoD scenario are then simulated and evaluated.

Abstract
The dissertation explores the concept of Digital Twin extended to networks and defines an architecture that creates and manages Network Digital Twins of physical domains to provide end-to-end services: it is selected the best fitting and secure combination of domains for the task; security is ensured through trustworthiness, associated to each domain and tuned after each service, an idea inherited by the Social IoT. Data acquisition, task offloading and domains' selection of an IoD scenario are then simulated and evaluated.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
