In the digital age, recommendation systems (RS) have become essential tools for many online platforms, guiding users to personalized content and products. Despite their importance, designing effective RSs presents significant challenges, given the complexity of the algorithms and the need to balance accuracy with other metrics such as novelty and diversity. In response to these challenges, various recommendation frameworks have emerged. “Elliot” stands out as a comprehensive recommendation framework that aims to simplify that process. This thesis focuses on the implementation of a web interface based on "Elliot", designed to make the recommendation system accessible even to non-expert users, mainly relying on the frontend. The work analyzes the implementation challenges and solutions in detail, paying particular attention to the data preparation, the training of new recommendation models and the evaluation phase. A distinctive aspect of this research is also the adoption of web scraping techniques for acquiring data on recommendation models and evaluation metrics directly from Elliot's documentation. The objective is therefore to provide a comprehensive picture of the methodologies, tools and techniques employed, significantly contributing to the emerging field of accessible and intuitive recommender systems.
