Abstract
The diffusion of E2EE services in a 5G scenario poses a serious challenge to the capabilities of Mobile Operators to perform Lawful Interception. In this scenario LI would not provide any useful information to Law Enforcement Agencies that can be used to safeguard citizens. Key Escrow encryption models, in which the secret keys are held in escrow by selected entities, present themselves as the solution that strikes the right balance between privacy of users and security of society. This work proposes, and then tests, an LI architecture fully integrated to the 5G standard that leverages a key escrow model to ensure LEAs can get clear Communication Content from an E2EE data stream.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
