This thesis investigates the role of demanufacturing and Circular Design in the sustainable management of end-of-life products, focusing on clothes hangers as a case study. Following a literature review on circular economy principles, sustainable product design, and resource recovery strategies, an experimental study was carried out on three different types of hangers characterized by different materials and structural configurations. The experimental activity included product characterization, disassembly operations, material separation, recoverability assessment, and the evaluation of potential reuse, upcycling, and recycling scenarios. The results highlight how design choices significantly affect disassembly efficiency, recovered material quality, and resource valorization potential. The study confirms the importance of integrating Design for Disassembly and Design for Circularity principles during the early stages of product development in order to maximize economic and environmental value recovery throughout the product life cycle.

Abstract
The study confirms the importance of integrating Design for Disassembly and Design for Circularity principles during the early stages of product development in order to maximize economic and environmental value recovery throughout the product life cycle.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
