The thesis addresses a study on IoT technologies. Initially, it is explained and explored in depth what IoT are, how they work, how they have evolved over time and what the application contexts are and what are the characteristics that are making them the objects of the future. The heart of the thesis is the comparison between 5 technologies that allow these devices to be connected. The technologies are Wifi, BLE, Zigbee (the most consolidated and older ones), Thread and Matter (they are the emerging and most innovative ones). The thesis also includes tables that make the differences and characteristics of these technologies clearer. The comparison parameters are scalability, market availability and cost, applications and security. The thesis concludes with conclusive analyzes based on which technology is the best and from a future perspective which technology will have the most use and success.

Abstract
The thesis concludes with conclusive analyzes based on which technology is the best and from a future perspective which technology will have the most use and success.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
