The degree studio is part of a departmental research project known as "Urbanformgrammars", and it proposes the study of the area between the north edges of the Skadar Lake and the Mouths of Kotor, with its natural shapes and its human settlements. This study pays specific attention to a necessary urban - territorial transformation, highlighted by the academic and governmental istitutions. Through urban and territorial analysis, the aim is to plan a system, defined the “Path of the Parks", made up by architectural “focal points” situated in strategic urban (Cetinje, Vranjina, Virpazar) and extra-urban contexts. This architectural sites will play the role of accomodating and cultural facilities oriented to the "slow tourism". The aim of this system is to create a net of spatial connections through the use of various types of mobility, among significant points (existing or provided for the project) of the area, which represent the different territorial conditions. Typical conditions which define its identity are: the Skadar Lake's deep coves and its lakeside settlements, the panoramic tops of the mountains, the cultivated unplands andits agro-settlements, the cleft passages, the woods and large karst clearings. Each natural condition refers to a topological condition (the internal concave areas of the creeks and the crefts, the absolute externality of the mountains top convex area, the relative externality of the unplands delimited areas…) that the architecture could be exalt through its forms. The “Path of the Parks” borns to connect in Montenegro the National Park of the Skadar Lake, the National Park of Lovcen Mount (“sacred” mountain of Montenegro) and the Mouths of Kotor, Adriatic “gate” of an internal system which, across the national boundaries, can strategically connect to the similar Albanesian system between the Skadar Lake and the Ohrid one. This system should be an alternative “resource” to the coastal tourism in a balcanic-adriatic area, like this, where it is still possible to think about sustainable ways to use the natural and cultural-historical heritage. It is desirable to devise architectures which combine the requests of protection and conservation with the desire to use the places to discover their beauty.

Abstract
It is desirable to devise architectures which combine the requests of protection and conservation with the desire to use the places to discover their beauty.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
