This thesis investigates the role of exhibition design in the Museo del Territorio (Territory Museum) as an advanced expression of contemporary museology, in line with the principles of the Faro Convention (2005) and the ICOM definition (2022), interpreting cultural heritage as a dynamic system of relationships between community, memory, and environment. The case study of the Museo del Territorio (MudeT) of Foggia, created to document and disseminate the history of the Capitanata region, highlights its function as a space aimed at strengthening residents' awareness of identity and guiding visitors in discovering the territory. In this context, exhibit design takes on a central role not only as an exhibition medium, but as a narrative and design device capable of conveying territorial identity through imaginative processes. The use of textile surfaces becomes an expressive medium for welcoming and reinterpreting material and immaterial traces, translating the relationships between community and environment. The visitor experience, placed at the center, develops in a synaesthetic manner, engaging the body and sensorial perception. The theoretical research and the project thus constitute an opportunity for experimentation, aimed at strengthening the museum as a cultural hub and an active space for the conscious construction of collective identity.

Abstract
The theoretical research and the project thus constitute an opportunity for experimentation, aimed at strengthening the museum as a cultural hub and an active space for the conscious construction of collective identity.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
