Clinical engineering plays a strategic role in the management of biomedical technologies, contributing significantly to the safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of healthcare equipment. Within this context, the technical testing of electromedical devices represents a crucial phase in the device lifecycle, as it allows for the verification of performance, electrical safety, and compliance with regulatory standards such as CEI EN 60601-1. Particular attention is given to ultrasound equipment, which, due to its widespread use and technological complexity, requires multidisciplinary expertise in ultrasound physics, electronics, and functional analysis. This thesis systematically examines the theoretical foundations, regulatory references, and operational procedures that guide the verification and validation activities of ultrasound systems, highlighting the importance of a structured methodological approach based on validated protocols, certified instrumentation, and objective acceptance criteria. The aim is to provide a practical framework for clinical engineers, supporting their role in the technical evaluation of biomedical technologies and ensuring the appropriateness of their clinical use.

Abstract
The aim is to provide a practical framework for clinical engineers, supporting their role in the technical evaluation of biomedical technologies and ensuring the appropriateness of their clinical use.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
