In this thesis work, a general review of the main applications of plasma technology is presented, with particular reference to the biomedical sector. It starts with the introduction and the first section, dedicated to the historical and chemical-physical analysis of plasma, especially the methods for its production. In the second section, the main industrial applications of plasma will be explored, ranging from corrosion resistance to the control system of the ITER project under development; while, in the third section, the use of plasma technology in the fields of medicine, such as wound healing, cancer therapy, and with a reference to the recent phenomenon of the COVID-19 pandemic will be explored. Each section highlights the importance of cold plasma at atmospheric pressure, abbreviated to CAP, which has proven itself in materials processing and medicine.
