Abstract
In the emerging 6G satellite implementations, the interaction between nonterrestrial network terminals and satellite constellations will generate a large attack surface, which requires the design of new security architectures. Scientific literature suggests to implement security services such as Virtual Network Functions, installed on board satellites. This paper presents an approach to allocate virtual security network functions between satellites, dynamically and optimally. To this end, an optimization problem is formulated considering deeply the intermittent connectivity between the terminals on Earth and the constellation of satellites, the limited computational capabilities of satellites, and the need to provide secure virtual network functions before a deadline. Simulated Annealing and Tabu Search were used to solve this optimization problem and the results were analyzed in some scenarios.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
