L'INTEGRAZIONE DEL BIM NEI PROCESSI DI DOCUMENTAZIONE, RAPPRESENTAZIONE E CONSERVAZIONE DEL PATRIMONIO CULTURALE

Building Information Modeling has been a highly innovative tool for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction sector, involving the entire building process for the ability to manage a large amount of data and information. The application of BIM to the architectural heritage AHBIM (Architectural Heritage Building Information Modeling) still presents aspects that are being investigated, due to the complexity and specificity of the cultural heritage (far from the standardization of the elements and modern construction processes, typical of BIM) and the complexity of the information that the BIM methodology has to manage for the documentation of architectural assets. Taking into account a specific methodological approach to built heritage, the work aims to investigate the potential offered by 3D modeling and digital visualizations for the study of historical, architectural, cultural and material values of historic buildings.

Il Building Information Modeling ha costituito uno strumento di grande innovazione per il settore dell’Ingegneria, dell'Architettura e delle Costruzioni, coinvolgendo l'intero processo edilizio con la possibilità di gestire una grande quantità di dati e informazioni. L'applicazione del BIM al patrimonio architettonico AHBIM (Architectural Heritage Building Information Modelling) presenta ancora aspetti che si stanno indagando, per la complessità e specificità del patrimonio culturale (lontano dalla standardizzazione degli elementi e dai processi costruttivi moderni, tipica del BIM) e la complessità delle informazioni che la metodologia BIM deve gestire per la documentazione degli asset architettonici. Tenendo conto di uno specifico approccio metodologico al patrimonio costruito, il lavoro si propone di indagare le potenzialità offerte dalla metodologia BIM nelle azioni di documentazione, rappresentazione e conservazione del patrimonio culturale.
