LA SICUREZZA DEGLI IMPIANTI MEDICALI: AGGIORNAMENTI NORMATIVI E CAMPI DI APPLICAZIONE

The purpose of this thesis is to identify the main safety requirements for medical implants described by the CEI 64-8, Section 710 standard, to analyze what have been the main regulatory updates in this regard, and how they can be combined with the prescriptions relating to the safety of electrical equipment for medical use, described in the CEI EN 60601-1 standard, with a particular focus on the regulation of instruments used in electrosurgery.

Scopo di questa tesi è quello di individuare i requisiti principali di sicurezza per gli impianti medicali descritti dalla norma CEI 64-8, Sezione 710, di analizzare quali sono stati i principali aggiornamenti normativi in merito, e di come essi si possano coniugare con le prescrizioni generali relative alla sicurezza delle apparecchiature elettriche per uso medico, descritti nella norma CEI EN 60601-1, con particolare focus sulla regolamentazione nell’ambito degli strumenti utilizzati in elettrochirurgia.
