PROGETTO DI UN SISTEMA DI SEDUTA: L'IMPORTANZA DELLA FLESSIBILITÀ NEL MOBILE IMBOTTITO

The focus of the research thesis concerns the made in Italy with reference to the upholstered product. In particular, a multi-source research is carried out (monographs, magazine articles, company catalogues, exhibition catalogues, company archives accessible online, etc.) which has made it possible to deepen the technical-structural aspect through a suitable taxonomy systems analysis: structural, sealing and fitting out. Furthermore, the graphic systems for using the taxonomy (infographics) have been created. After analyzing the data, we went down to the specifics and in particular in the planning and individual part of the thesis. The project consists in the creation of a flexible sofa that satisfies the user's needs such as conviviality, relaxation, aesthetics and the relationship with space. The seat features a soft polyurethane shape with a flexible cushion that runs across the entire sofa. Upholstered furniture is designed as a single module but also as a compound module that forms a large sculptural system to be introduced into large interior spaces such as museums and large living rooms.

Il focus della tesi di ricerca riguarda il made in Italy con riferimento al prodotto imbottito. In particolare, si conduce una ricerca multi-fonte (monografie, articoli di rivista, cataloghi aziendali, cataloghi di mostra, archivio d'impresa accessibili on line, ecc.) che ha consentito di approfondire l’aspetto tecnico-strutturale attraverso una tassonomia atta all’analisi dei sistemi: strutturale, di tenuta e di allestimento. Inoltre, si sono realizzati i sistemi grafici di fruizione della tassonomia (infografiche). Dopo aver analizzato i dati, si è sceso nello specifico e in particolar modo nella parte progettuale e individuale della tesi. Il progetto consiste nella realizzazione di un divano flessibile che soddisfa le necessità dell'utente quali la convivialità, il relax, l'estetica e il rapporto con lo spazio. La seduta presenta una forma morbida in poliuretano con un cuscino flessibile che attraversa l'intero divano. L'imbottito è pensato come modulo singolo ma anche come modulo composto che forma una grande sistema scultoreo da introdurre in grandi spazi interni come musei e ampi soggiorni.
