The thesis addresses the relationship between design and nomadism, in relation to the composition of new technologies and how they have evolved the sense of travel. Taking into consideration some of the famous design cases, the main typological characteristics of the nomadic artifact are identified, placing a focus on the relationship between content and container. The container is studied as a necessary instrument for the purpose of the journey, in relation to its temporality. The study examines the case of three suitcases of Italian design, of transportable containers for electronic equipment, with the aim of investigating the same design characteristics. The aim of the thesis is the design of a nomadic container system, in which the user can store the necessary technological tools in order to carry out their tasks wherever he is located.

Abstract

DESIGN AND NOMADISM: LUGGAGE PRODUCTION BETWEEN HISTORY AND TYPOLOGICAL EVOLUTION
