Considering today's global technological landscape, the study of radio systems is very important. Given the widespread diffusion of mobile devices and the ever-increasing demand for wireless communication systems, developing methodologies that can improve the performance and efficiency of such systems is therefore a demanding but crucial challenge. In this context, this thesis will address the problem of shared resource management for wireless communication systems, focusing on the development of techniques aimed at the optimal power allocation of users in the sub-carriers of the radio spectrum, i.e., the portion of electromagnetic frequencies reserved for wireless communication. The aim of the thesis, specifically, is therefore the definition of non-centralised control algorithms that solve the problem of power allocation of transmitting units in the sub-carriers into which the radio channel is divided. These algorithms will be analysed both from a theoretical and applicative point of view, through the implementation in a Python environment and the presentation of a series of experimental results concerning the performance parameters of the network examined. The proposed algorithms are based on game theory, a branch of applied mathematics that describes and analyses scenarios in which the decisions of the participating agents are mutual and interactive. The methodology has been tested not only in the context of decentralised networks, but also of distributed networks, obtaining significant results in both cases. Subsequently, these experimental results were analysed in depth, making various comparisons between the operational scenarios considered, differentiated by number of network users and number of sub-carriers into which the channel was assumed to be divided.

Abstract
Subsequently, these experimental results were analysed in depth, making various comparisons between the operational scenarios considered, differentiated by number of network users and number of sub-carriers into which the channel was assumed to be divided.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
