In recent years there has been a revolution in the Healthcare System which is increasingly adopting digital solutions to meet the new needs of the patient, proving to be attentive and ready to face new changes that can increase participation and the degree of awareness of everyone's health the citizens. There are several tools that are used today to improve the quality of care, such as the analysis of big data, telemedicine, the use of IoT devices for monitoring vital parameters and pathologies and the Electronic Health Record. The purpose of this thesis is to highlight how the blockchain proves to be a technology capable of supporting all these tools of the new Digital Health, focusing on the security and protection of personal data and on the issue of interoperability. Finally, the modeling of a blockchain-based application for the management of medical records is presented, which considers the ideal technologies to be adopted for its implementation.
