This thesis delves into the phenomenon of triggering and transient growth in a premixed conical flame, varying the flame position and hydrogen fraction. It begins by discussing the acoustics of a combustor and thermoacoustic instabilities, and proceeds to find a mathematical model to describe a thermoacoustic system and its modes of vibration. Then, it goes on to describe the properties of a laminar premixed flame in detail. Subsequently, the triggering phenomenon caused by non-linearity and non-normality is thoroughly explained. As a method to observe transient growth, we will employ Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). Finally, the MATLAB code used and the results of various simulations will be presented.

Abstract
Finally, the MATLAB code used and the results of various simulations will be presented.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
