The thesis work focuses on the application of advanced CAD modeling techniques and numerical FEM analysis for the fatigue design of the wings of a Cessna 172s aircraft. The study began with a theoretical exploration of flight dynamics and the main methodologies of aeronautical design, providing the necessary context for subsequent development. A CAD model of the aircraft's semi-wing was then created using Autodesk Inventor, accurately reproducing its geometry and structure. Particular attention was given to the selection of the airfoil, evaluating the aerodynamic characteristics of the NACA 23018 profile to optimize the lift-to-drag ratio. Following the modeling phase, an FEM analysis was conducted to assess the structural behavior of the wing under operational loads, identifying areas subjected to the highest stresses and verifying the safety of the components. Finally, a fatigue life estimation was performed using Miner and Palmgren’s rule, integrating considerations on maintenance strategies.

Abstract
Finally, a fatigue life estimation was performed using Miner and Palmgren’s rule, integrating considerations on maintenance strategies.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
