GLI EFFETTI DELLA SELEZIONE DEI CONTEGGI DI TRAFFICO SULLE PRESTAZIONI DEGLI STIMATORI DELLA MATRICE O/D: IL CASO DI STUDIO DELLA RETE STRADALE DI BARI

This thesis is focused on the construction of a traffic macrosimulation model. Initially it contains a theoretical dissertation beneficial to understand the general processes with which this work is based on. Later it analyses a case of study of the city of Bari: through the aid of “PTV Visum” software, we create a prototype of the road network of the city (supply model), we evaluate the demand O/D of movements as regards the reasons home-work and home-study (demand model), then we create a traffic macro simulations model (assignment model), and we simulate the traffic flows over each section of the road network during the morning rush hour (h. 7-9). After this, we deepen the theme of the correction of the matrix O/D, relative to vehicles mobility, both theoretically and operationally, always through the use of the software. We suggest different ways of revisions and then the results are compared by means of some estimators (Is, MSE, RMSE% e GEH).

Il presente lavoro di tesi si focalizza sulla costruzione di un modello di macrosimulazione del traffico. Dapprima si riporta una trattazione teorica utile a comprendere le procedure generali alla base del lavoro. In seguito si passa al caso di studio della città di Bari: tramite l’ausilio del software “PTV Visum” si costruisce un modello della rete stradale della città (modello di offerta), si stima la domanda O/D di spostamento relativamente alle ragioni casa-lavoro e casa-studio (modello di domanda), si costruisce un modello di macrosimulazione del traffico (modello di assegnazione) e si simulano i flussi veicolari su ciascun arco della rete stradale nell’ora di punta mattutina (h. 7-9). Fatto ciò, si approfondisce il tema della correzione della matrice O/D, relativamente al modo auto, sia dal punto di vista teorico che operativo, sempre tramite l’utilizzo del suddetto software. Si propongono diversi scenari di correzione e se ne confrontano i risultati mediante alcuni stimatori (Is, MSE, RMSE% e GEH).
