This thesis deal with the stability of humanoid robots. Starting form an existing opensource mathematical model of a five-link biped that through trajectory optimization generates a step, I added some stability criteria like zero moment point (ZMP), foot rotation indicator (FRI), centroidal moment pivot (CMP), instantaneous capture point (ICP) and a brief limit cycle analysis. To plot the limit cycle, I extended the code so it can generate several successive steps and check the quasi periodical behavior, the steps are not exactly periodic to avoid jumps in torques. Moreover, I added the arms in the model, and completed a validation process comparing solutions about the swing of the arms and whole robot with the trajectory optimization and compound pendulum simulations. In the last paragraph there are results compared among the three cases without arms, with fixed arms and with free arms.

Abstract
In the last paragraph there are results compared among the three cases without arms, with fixed arms and with free arms.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
