This thesis aims to evaluate the stability of a railway embankment located along the section between Fuscaldo and Paola, in Calabria, through the use of advanced numerical modeling software. The analysis is divided into two main phases. In the first part, an in-depth study of the meteomarine climate of the area of interest is conducted, with particular attention to atmospheric and marine parameters that can influence the stability of the embankment. The collected data are subsequently processed to define the most representative environmental load scenarios. In the second part, these scenarios are integrated into numerical models to simulate the behavior of the railway embankment under different operational and environmental conditions. The results obtained allow for the evaluation of safety levels and potential structural criticalities, providing useful indications for the management and maintenance of the infrastructure.
