Only brief references to the architecture of the sanctuary and its temple buildings have been published so far in excavation reports, while more attention has been paid to the ceramic and sculptural finds. The exceptions are the Aeolian capitals, which were the subject of a monograph in the 1960s by Ph. Betancourt, who, in researching the origins of the type, placed them within a larger group, including examples from Asia Minor and the Middle East. Furthermore, at Klopedì, the attribution of the approximately 20 Aeolian capitals identified so far to Temple A or Temple B has never been clarified. The current research therefore aims to graphically reconstruct the two buildings and thus resolve the problem of the capitals' attribution. Furthermore, the survey already carried out has allowed us to more clearly delineate the different phases of Temple B's development, a line of research that we intend to further explore during the workshop. A further objective is the definition of an Aeolian architecture as a whole, placing the example of Klopedì within a broader context, which includes the entire island and the facing coast.

Abstract
A further objective is the definition of an Aeolian architecture as a whole, placing the example of Klopedì within a broader context, which includes the entire island and the facing coast.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
