This thesis analyzes the application of Industry 4.0 principles to test benches for electric motors, with particular attention to their implementation, statistical evaluation of measurements and interconnection with factory systems. Initially, an overview of Industry 4.0 is provided, from its origins to enabling technologies, highlighting its opportunities and challenges. Subsequently, the integration of test benches for electric motors in Industry 4.0 is explored, analyzing their role, functions and advantages of interconnection with digitalized systems. The Gage R&R Analysis is introduced, a statistical methodology fundamental to guarantee the reliability and repeatability of testing processes. Finally, in the experimental part, a case study on C&P Service SRL is presented, which implemented an interconnected test bench in a 4.0 perspective, evaluated through a statistical analysis of performances. The results highlight how the integration of digital tools and statistical methodologies can optimize the quality of testing.
