Abstract

The technological evolution has deeply changed every aspect of our daily lives, switching from devices the size of a room to others of them so small that can be worn. The wearable devices have different functions, but we focused on monitoring some of the vital parameters of the subject who wears them. Starting from a study focused on an improvement of the accuracy of these devices, placing the sensor no longer on the wrist but on the fingers, we considered as a common goal to design devices accessible to all, easily replicabled, even in non-industrial background. The common factor of the research was the glove, either whole or partial, considered as the best link between the hand and the technology available to us. In the era of globalization, programmed obsolescence and increasingly pervasive technology, with these projects we wanted to give the right value to these tools, through their functions, materials and components, becoming prostheses of the human body.
