MANUS X MACHINA: INDAGINE E PROGETTO SUL RAPPORTO TRA SPECIFICITÀ ARTIGIANALI, PROCESSI INDUSTRIALI E IDENTITÀ E IDENTITÀ DEI TERRITORI

The thesis work carried out takes into consideration what can be defined as the artisan processes for the production of vegetable fiber products in Italy. The main characteristics of the latter were analyzed and the respective place of employment was examined, finding in this relationship, "vegetable fiber-territory", a strong bond. In particular, we focused on the cleaning phase of the common barrel and on the tool used by the craftsman Vincenzo Carlone of Minervino Murge. The objective of the thesis is to optimize this process, acting on the tool re-design and therefore focusing both on increasing the efficiency of use and on the implementation of multiple functions.

Il lavoro di tesi svolto prende in considerazione quelli che possono essere definiti i processi artigianali per la produzione di manufatti in fibre vegetali in Italia. Si sono analizzate le caratteristiche principali di queste ultime e si è preso in esame il rispettivo luogo di impiego, trovando in questo rapporto, “fibra vegetale-territorio”, un forte legame. In particolare, ci si è soffermati sulla fase di pulitura della canna comune e sull’utensile adoperato dall’artigiano Vincenzo Carlone di Minervino Murge. Obiettivo del percorso di tesi è quello di ottimizzare tale processo, agendo sul ri-design dell’utensile e quindi focalizzandosi sia su l’incremento dell’efficienza d’utilizzo, sia sull’implementazione di più funzioni.
