ANALISI E PROGETTAZIONE DELL'EQUITA' NEI SISTEMI DI TRASPORTO PUBBLICO IN CITTA' DI PICCOLE DIMENSIONI. IL CASO DI STUDIO DEL COMUNE DI BISCEGLIE.

The term of equity means a transport service that is spatially and socially equitable. This paper sets out a method for assessing the fairness of public transport distribution, which meets the needs of the community through fair accessibility. An equity indicator based on the Gini coefficient and referred to the Lorenz curve will be used. The methodology makes it possible to verify whether the public transport offer has been planned and designed in a fair way, with a spatially homogeneous service in the study area and with more adequate frequency in the areas where the most disadvantaged communities are present.

Con il termine di equità si intende un servizio di trasporto che sia equo dal punto di vista spaziale e sociale. In questo lavoro si espone un metodo per la valutazione dell’equità della distribuzione del trasporto pubblico, che soddisfa le esigenze della comunità attraverso un’equa accessibilità. Sarà utilizzato un indicatore di equità basato sul coefficiente di Gini, e riferito alla curva di Lorenz. La metodologia consente di verificare se l’offerta del trasporto pubblico sia stata pianificata e progettata in modo equo, con un servizio spazialmente omogeneo nella zona di studio e con più adeguata frequenza nelle zone in cui sono presenti comunità più svantaggiate.
