This thesis addresses the design and validation of a Quality Management System (QMS) within an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) context, applied to the DITRO – DESIGNIA case study. The research objective was twofold: to structure corporate processes in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 standard and to technically validate production capacity through advanced statistical methodologies. In the first phase, through context analysis and process mapping, strategic criticalities related to technical know-how management and supply chain stability were identified. These findings guided the drafting of the Quality Manual and operating procedures, focusing specifically on formalizing design reviews and supplier qualification. In the second phase, the system was experimentally validated by applying the Run-at-Rate protocol to a critical mechanical assembly process. Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis, conducted on a sample of 50 units, confirmed process stability and a process capability index (Cpk) of 1.77, exceeding standard benchmarks for the automotive sector. The results demonstrate how the integration of regulatory compliance and statistical validation serves as a strategic lever to ensure product reliability and corporate competitiveness.
