This thesis investigates RIS-assisted Secret Key Generation in a static indoor Line-of-Sight environment under an on-the-shoulder eavesdropping attack. A physically characterized 1-bit unit cell is integrated into a QuaDRiGa-based channel model, and a novel Channel LoS Decorrelation strategy is proposed to maximize the spatial divergence between the channels observed by the legitimate receiver and the eavesdropper. Results show that communication-oriented RIS configurations actively degrade key security, whereas the proposed strategy, combined with spectral interleaving, reserves spatial decorrelation and achieves full NIST SP 800-22 compliance, demonstrating that the configuration strategy is the decisive factor in RIS-assisted physical-layer key generation.
