The main goal of this thesis work is to design a full-corporate-feed layer scheme for antenna arrays working at the operating frequency f = 61.5 GHz. The purpose is to optimize its physical and geometrical parameters in order to achieve the greatest possible bandwidth and best impedance matching. For this reason, parametric simulations have been carried out. The corporate feed is based on an H junction, with the aim of obtaining a in-phase feeding of all cells of the antenna array. It was found that by placing the aspect ratio, wf /lf < 1.85, where wf is the width of window and lf is the length of the T-junction’s wall gives better results in terms of impedance matching with a scattering parameter S11 = -14.296 dB. The best performance in term -10dB bandwidth close to 13%, was obtained by placing wf = 2.440 mm and lf = 1.410 mm.

Abstract

DESIGN OF CORPORATE-FEED LAYER SCHEME FOR ANTENNA ARRAY
