In this work of thesis, it is presented the project of a pulse oximeter made using VHDL language and implemented on an FPGA board, with the aim of monitoring the oxygen saturation of premature babies placed in a neonatal incubator, with insights into the principles of pulse oximetry and of gas exchange mechanisms. In addition, the technical characteristics of an FPGA and its applications in the medical / health field are illustrated.

Abstract
In this work of thesis, it is presented the project of a pulse oximeter made using VHDL language and implemented on an FPGA board, with the aim of monitoring the oxygen saturation of premature babies placed in a neonatal incubator, with insights into the principles of pulse oximetry and of gas exchange mechanisms. In addition, the technical characteristics of an FPGA and its applications in the medical / health field are illustrated.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
