On-chip optical wireless links offer a promising alternative to traditional wired interconnects, with optical phased arrays (OPAS) enabling dynamic beam steering via electro-optic phase shifters. Three TFLN-based Electro-Optic Phase Shifters designs, strip, rib, and hybrid with silicon nitride are proposed and analyzed through simulation. Their performance is evaluated in terms of half-wave voltage, power consumption, and device footprint. A comparison with silicon-on-insulator (SOI) phase shifters highlights the advantages and trade-offs of TFLN for integrated optical wireless switching.

Abstract
On-chip optical wireless links offer a promising alternative to traditional wired interconnects, with optical phased arrays (OPAS) enabling dynamic beam steering via electro-optic phase shifters. Three TFLN-based Electro-Optic Phase Shifters designs, strip, rib, and hybrid with silicon nitride are proposed and analyzed through simulation. Their performance is evaluated in terms of half-wave voltage, power consumption, and device footprint. A comparison with silicon-on-insulator (SOI) phase shifters highlights the advantages and trade-offs of TFLN for integrated optical wireless switching.File in questo prodotto:
