This thesis focuses on the design and verification of the rotor mounting method for a wind turbine. The design process will be developed through several phases. It will begin with a thorough analysis of the forces involved, taking into account both static and dynamic loads acting on the rotor. Subsequently, the various available mounting methods will be compared. Once the most suitable mounting method has been selected, the detailed design of the connection will be carried out. To support the validation of the project, both a static analysis—aimed at verifying the system’s resistance to the expected loads—and a numerical analysis using the Finite Element Method (FEM) will be performed, in order to obtain a more accurate understanding of the component’s behavior under load.
