This work focuses on the two-dimensional analysis of a turbulent flow over an airfoil using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Specifically, a subsonic turbulent airflow around the NACA0012 airfoil is considered, and the results are analyzed based on variations in the angle of attack and the viscous model. The initial conditions allow for observing how the aerodynamic characteristics change, and subsequently, the formation of a boundary layer transition zone from laminar to turbulent along the edges of the airfoil will be examined. Simulations are carried out using the software Fidelity Pointwise and Ansys Fluent, with the former being used for creating a computational grid, and the latter for performing iterative calculations. This type of solver provides an alternative to pure experimentation, as it numerically solves the equations governing fluid motion and graphically presents the results across the entire computational domain with high precision. A detailed description of the case and the most representative phenomena is presented, along with an analysis of the obtained results.

Abstract
A detailed description of the case and the most representative phenomena is presented, along with an analysis of the obtained results.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
