This thesis aims to analyze the mechanical interactions between two red blood cells in a cut flow by using a discretized numerical model based on masses and soft. The field in question is microfluidic, a growing discipline that allows the study of fluids at the microscopic scale. The discretized model made it possible to reproduce the structure of the red blood cell and simulate its elastic and deformation behaviour under bending, compression and stretching forces. The bending and stretching tests on a plate have then validated this method by reproducing results in line with the reference literature. Finally, several simulations of two red blood cells in a cut-off flow were performed to analyze the influence of flow conditions and repulsive forces on the interaction between the two cells.

Abstract
This thesis aims to analyze the mechanical interactions between two red blood cells in a cut flow by using a discretized numerical model based on masses and soft. The field in question is microfluidic, a growing discipline that allows the study of fluids at the microscopic scale. The discretized model made it possible to reproduce the structure of the red blood cell and simulate its elastic and deformation behaviour under bending, compression and stretching forces. The bending and stretching tests on a plate have then validated this method by reproducing results in line with the reference literature. Finally, several simulations of two red blood cells in a cut-off flow were performed to analyze the influence of flow conditions and repulsive forces on the interaction between the two cells.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
