The paper deals with the analysis of the costs and benefits associated with a revamping project for the packaging process of high-end room loudspeakers, consisting of the installation of a machine vision system capable of automating in-line control. The methodological approach used for the project mapping was DMAIC, combined, for the steps that required them, with analytical tools such as Time and Method Analysis, ETA, Probability Matrix for the severity of actions, and project energy balance. The analysis showed that revamping made it possible to optimise the process, intervening on all the risk points and sources of economic loss identified, raising its degree of reliability, to the benefit of the line's productivity, leading to economic and environmental savings, capable of making the project sufficiently profitable and recoverable in just over three and a half years.

Abstract
The paper deals with the analysis of the costs and benefits associated with a revamping project for the packaging process of high-end room loudspeakers, consisting of the installation of a machine vision system capable of automating in-line control. The methodological approach used for the project mapping was DMAIC, combined, for the steps that required them, with analytical tools such as Time and Method Analysis, ETA, Probability Matrix for the severity of actions, and project energy balance. The analysis showed that revamping made it possible to optimise the process, intervening on all the risk points and sources of economic loss identified, raising its degree of reliability, to the benefit of the line's productivity, leading to economic and environmental savings, capable of making the project sufficiently profitable and recoverable in just over three and a half years.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
