VERIFICA DEGLI SPOSTAMENTI TRAMITE ANALISI BAYESIANA DI UNA STRUTTURA DELL'EDIFICIO TTEC

The aim of this thesis is to describe the surveying equipment and methods used to assess the displacement of structures such as public buildings or residential properties. Monitoring should be understood as a surveying process designed to identify any displacement or deformation caused by the application of loads and the wear and tear of building materials, and to highlight the importance of statistics in verifying the accuracy of the data obtained. The proposed methodology involves the use of two different surveying technologies: Total Station and GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), in order to acquire the position of significant points located on a fire escape. The data were processed through rigorous adjustment of the planimetric and altimetric measurements using the least squares method. To characterise the results obtained, a statistical analysis was carried out to assess their validity. The analysis conducted concerned the fire escape adjacent to the main entrance of the Bari Polytechnic campus, located in Taranto in the Paolo VI district.
