The numerical modeling of combustion is particularly demanding due to the strong coupling between fluid-dynamics, thermodynamics, and chemical kinetics. To address this complexity, an FGM-based method has been developed in this work, enabling the chemical domain to be solved during a pre-processing step and its results stored in a tabular format that can be accessed by a CFD solver during the flow simulation. This approach allows for a detailed description of the physicochemical phenomena characteristic of flames, while dramatically reducing the overall computational cost.

Abstract
The numerical modeling of combustion is particularly demanding due to the strong coupling between fluid-dynamics, thermodynamics, and chemical kinetics. To address this complexity, an FGM-based method has been developed in this work, enabling the chemical domain to be solved during a pre-processing step and its results stored in a tabular format that can be accessed by a CFD solver during the flow simulation. This approach allows for a detailed description of the physicochemical phenomena characteristic of flames, while dramatically reducing the overall computational cost.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
